For their new wholesale line for a major retailer, OshKosh B'gosh wanted to repurpose their vintage typography for modern day use. After creating a vector of the original script I addressed the terminals, ligatures, letter spacing, and line weights.
I made the terminals proportionate to the line weights and smoothed out curves to create a more fluid movement.
Since the logo would be used mainly on smaller clothing labels the line weights needed to be more consistent and less "brush like." This allowed for the letter to be spaced more evenly and better legibility.
I smoothed out the ligatures and created a better flow for the script.
